Volunteer with us

Get to spend your spare time wisely: Get a career that matters.

UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families provides opportunities for volunteering in various programs located across New South Wales.

By becoming a volunteer you will have the opportunity to assist children, young people and families, and at the same time make a difference in your community.

Volunteers are always needed and welcomed. There are many ways in which volunteers can be involved and contribute during hours that suit them – including assisting in our annual UnitingCare Burnside Reunion at our North Parramatta campus, helping to tutor children weekly after school, supporting our employees in their provision of services such as transportation, or even being a Santa.

We view volunteering as a partnership. In return for your work, UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families provide relevant training, ongoing support and an in-depth induction. Our volunteers can expect to acquire new skills, meet new people and have many experiences which can prove to be rewarding.

All volunteers will be required to provide a Criminal History Check and/or a clearance under the Working for Children Check system, depending on the area in which they are volunteering.
